A letter from General Sossa of the Whitehold Guard
After receiving notice of the dead body, a guard team was sent to inspect the corpse. The cause of death was a chest wound, the guard apparently being impaled by a sword. His identification, and all mundane belongings were stripped away. It is probably a theft gone wrong, but one can never be so sure.
After inspection of the corspe by fellow Guard Officers, the body is identified as Private Ian Kanvil
Any information or clues about him will be very appreciated.
Here is a list of some popular locations where he was seen regularly.
His Old Town residence The Granvik frozen lake Verslun's Library
((Locate clues that will lead to finding the murderer of Private Ian Kanvil. Take a screenshot of the clue and post it in this thread. Anyone who finds a clue will be rewarded with 200 crowns. A clue cannot be found more than once, and you can only register two, so be quick!))

*Letter from General Sossa*
It appears that the notebook found is a notebook containing Ian's late and recent patrol routes.
Our scientists have sampled the dry blood and it appears to be 3 days old.
With that information, we can pinpoint him patrolling through the Larkwood Swamp, Tyro's Forest, and finally on East Sablewood on the days prior to his death.
About the book I received, even though it is a peculiar find, it could be anything. I'll have a syccan scholar skim through it relevance soon.
Best of luck, General Sossa of the Whitehold Guard

*Letter from the General* The journal reveals that on the day prior to his death, Private Kanvil took a detour from his Larkwood swamp route. He states: "And within the mountains that surround that violent settlement, a man who asks for my assistance waits in a forgotten gem."
I do not understand what Private Kanvil could mean. If you do, please find it and bring it to me.
Best wishes, General Sossa.

After further inspection of his journal, an entry a week prior pinpoints the violent settlement as Dauer. He also states something about using the east gate, but it is scribbled around and damaged.
Good luck, the General.

*You receive a letter from the General*
Men were sent to the hidden ruin, and it appears it is yet a small portion of a forgotten library. The table, had been recently set up. The ancient book I received is all about documented occurrences involving the same army that is threatening our lands now... I do not know how this is possible.
I have assembled my best men to read, and understand said book. I will notify you again whenever we have any lead of use.
Best regards, General Sossa.

Finally! After hours of reading, my men have found a lead. The ancient book found has significant relevance to the misplaced book in the Verslun library. It is very possible that the author of the said book, an Ophian scholar named Lassra Mar, was the one meeting with the Guard at the ruins. He was last seen researching the undead army at Viventor.
Best of luck, the General.

It's the journal of Lassra Mar. From what I can read, it seems he was under a lot of distress recently. His last scribbled entry was: "I have decided to hide in the region surrounding Larkwood Falls, in a place that really reminds me of home. May I be safe."
