Ha'amish looks into his father's journal. He quickly flips through the pages, skimming the entries for anything interesting:
Entry 274:
The family staff has strange symbols on it. I cannot decipher the code. Perhaps it was used by my ancestors and taught down by each generation. I assume my father was going to teach me, but for some reason he didn't. The Nephrite for the staff is also missing, making it useless. It was designed to have Nephrite on each end. I've never seen my father use the staff back when it still worked. He simply kept it in a shelf. I heard him say that the staff had become fragile over time and shouldn't be used.
My father tell me that one of my very early ancestors was part of the Warlocks Guild. They somehow obtained Primal Nephrite and used it to create the family staff. As it was passed down, one of my ancestors modified the staff and added a piece of Common Nephrite on the other end.
If Ha'amish hadn't dropped out he was going to recieve the staff. I predicted he would be able to do something with it. He was always more interested in the staff than I was.
As Ha'amish flipped through the pages he saw an entry that was about his father's studies on magic:
Entry 289:
If a spell that is powerful enough can kill someone, then there should be a spell that can revive someone but kill the one who cast the spell. Based on that logic, maybe a spell powerful enough to kill someone will kill the one who cast the spell.
