((This will be his Journal from when he was boy to now.))
Entry 1:
Well I just turned fifteen today. Mom didn't seem to care much. She never really has since pa left. I guess my penmanship is getting better, so is the spelling. Mr. Pelico is a great teacher. Working at his shop for lessons has been great. Since mother can't support me, I support my self. Picking apples from East Sablewood, well and the stolen fish from the market. It's work, but it's also food.
-------
He put the book down on his nightstand. The candle flickered as he did so. Looking at the candle, his eyes water. A single tear dripped down his cheek. The thought of his father leaving him and his mother got to him almost every night. He turned and looked at the wooden ceiling. His mind drifted off to the sea. He yawned and turned over. Falling asleep, the candle flickered out.

Entry 2:
Well today was fun. I had just stacked the last shelf with fish when Mr. Pelico walked in. He asked me to go to Dauer and pick up a box of rum from the pub. As always I did what he said. As I arrived at the gate a man brushed past me, knocking me over. I believe he stole the coin pouch I had, because when I arrived at the pub I went for the crowns Pelico gave me and they weren't there! I couldn't believe it. Though the man at the counter gave me the package and told me Pelico didn't have to worry about it. So heading back to Port Alder I came across a coin pouch that was similar to mine. Though no crowns... Oh well. So, as I walked into port I seen a huge ship! It looked like dad's ship!
-------
A knock was heard at the door. He stood up from his bed and dropped the book. Covering it with his blanket. Taking a deep breath he walked to the door. It was late, only his candle was lit. Looking at the door it, his hand went for the knob. "Oi! No one's home Cap'n! Lets see what's inside!"

As his hand reached the knob he heard the voices. He froze. Blinking. The door came flying at him. The man on the other side must have kicked it in. Meeting the poor boy's body it knocked him back. His mother jumped from bed. The men had rushed in, swords in hand. "Oi! Never mind Cap'n, there's a young lass in here." The man has a poor accent. It was rusty. The boy's mother had rushed to the boy and picked him up. He was disoriented and bleeding. The men that came in filled the room. The smelt bad and looked dirty. Each had a sword. They looked over the women and boy. "Mmm, Cap'n she looks great. Healthy and smooth." When the Captain came into the room he pushed the man that spoke into the wall, holding his throat. "Do not talk about a woman like that, boy! Or I will personally slit your throat." His hand was digging into the mans throat, making him squeak. "Aye-Aye Cap'n." The women stood. "W-what do you want?" She was terrified. Tears ran from her face. Her eyes took in the Captain's form. He was tall, about Six-one and two-hundred pounds. His chin and mouth was covered in a thick, filthy looking, black beard. Though, the only clean thing about him was his clothes. A white shirt buttoned down with a long coat over it. Gold buttons ran down the front of the coat. A sheath at his side which also held his Pistol (Bow). His trousers looked new, they weren't torn nor worn at all. A pitch black hat with nice brown boots. Then she realized what he was and who the rest were. Pirates.
((If anyone reads this, it's pretty much going to be a mini story cut into sections. I'll update it when I get the time. Feel free to reply and tell me how I'm doing. Thanks. =]))

His mother's eyes opened wide and she screamed. Walking backwards she picked her son up, dragging him with her. Coming to a door she opened it. The cold air blew in behind them. As she turned around more pirates met her face to face. Pushing her into the house. They circle her, it was fifteen to two. She was frightened, not knowing what to do. "W-what do you want? Money, it's in the wooden chest. The key is in the drawer by the blue bed! Food is in the ice chest! Please all we have is bread! Take it and leave us alone." The Captain stepped up to the woman. "Ah, tis a smart lass. Though we don't want yer crowns nor your bread! No-no, we want yer son." Looking into the Captain's eyes the mother knew she was doomed.
"Oi, Captain tis been a long time since we seen a fine woman, let us have our way." The man with the fancy hat turned, as he did the one that spoke it the floor. The boy understood what happened. The Captain sliced the other man's neck. His body went limp and he hit the floor. The girl again shrieked. Fearing the worst. The little boy backed behind her. Mustering his courage he spoke, "S-sir, why do you want me?" The man looked into his eye's instantly spotting the sea. Smiling he stated: "Cause boy, you can read a map and you have sea legs!" The mother of the young child was reminded for her husband when the Captain spoke of the sea. She couldn't bare loosing the boy. "No, I won't let you take him." As she spoke she shoved the man away and grabbed the boy.
The other pirates grabbed her arms and restrained her. She fought back. The boy stumbled. Raising his hands he punched he man that held his mother's arm. knocking him loose. The pirate pulled his sword and stepped forward. His eye's were filled with rage. "Why, you little piss ant!" He slashed for the boy, only to hear the clink of another sword against his own. At this point the boy's eyes were closed. The captain guarded the blow. "I don't think that's a good idea there mate," the Captain said. "Oi, he hit me!" "Do you really thing I give a damn. You were holding his mother, what do you think he was going to do? Give you a flower." The cabin roared with laughter from the other pirates. The one holding the sword scornfully looked at the boy. His mother finally spoke, "Let me go at once!" "Aye, let her go! But ma'am if you do that again... I will kill you." The Captain didn't enjoy being struck by a woman, even his it was just a shove. The boy's mother was evenly angry, she pulled away from the men that held her arms. She walked to her son and whispered to his ear, "Run, run as fast as you can. Don't look back, just keep running no matter what you hear. Got it?"
((Thanks Sync!))

As his mother stood up the boy looked towards the door. It was open and he could get out easily. But where would he go? How could he survive. He knew his mother would surely die here. The pirates wanted him, and if the stories where true then she wouldn't be aloud on the ship. Looking at her, then the door he started to run. His bed was close by. One man had brushed the sheets and seen his book that he had been writing him. Tossing it on the floor. Go! Go! Go! His mind screamed. "Oi Captain what should we do.." The boy's mother looked at the Captain and struck his face, then shoved him into three other men.
Stumbling back the Captain and the other men fell. "Oh you did it this time wench!" He roared and jumped up. The boy seen his opportunity and ran. Passing the Captain and the crew, grabbing his book. Seeing his mother being grabbed. A sword laid on the ground next to the door from a fallen pirate. Was this his chance? Could he use the sword? Before running from the cabin he grabbed the sword. Turning, book in one hand and a sword in another.
The Captain was at his feet by this time. He had the woman trapped by his crew. "Sorry lass.." With a quick flick of the wrist the boy's mother went limp in the the pirate's arms. He seen it all. Her throat was cut, the blood went everywhere. They dropped her body, it was bleeding more and more. Her eye's stared at the boy. As if saying: Why, why would you let them do this? I hate you. The boy dropped the sword he carried. How could someone do this.
Turning around to see what the clatter was, the Captain looked over the boy. "Now you see what this woman has done? She made a mess. You boy, will suffer the same fate if you don't come with us." The boy's expression couldn't be more suffering. All the men in the room had walked out. A few with laughing, and a few looking at the boy. Pushing him out of the way. The Captain and him were the only ones left in the room. It was dead silent. (No pun intended) What had just happened? Better yet, what was about to happen?

Entry 3: Why do I even have this book? It's been ages since I used it. Lets see, I was fifteen at the time now I'm about twenty-five. That's ten years! Alright, enough ranting. I was given a riddle today.. One that can only be solved with old age. The Captain must be going insane in his old age. Anyways the riddle was: What comes and gos but always stays? Hm, better get back on deck.
-------
He stood from his cot that was below deck. The air was moist and tasted like salt. Ehh I hate that taste... He thought to himself. He dropped his book onto the cot, covering it with his pillow. A cheerful Yo-Ho! came from the above deck. Looking towards the ladder he sighed. Striding over he took a hold of the ladder climbing up. Opening the hatch a small wave of water splashed the deck. Hitting him straight on. OH FOR THE LOVE OF...

Entry 4: Still haven't found any land. It's been a couple of months now. Some of the boys are starving. I'm only staying alive by the apples I have been holding on to. A man was marooned on a island just yesterday for stealing from the Captain. Tis his fault, our code are no jokes. I remember a couple years ago...
------ (Memory) He woke from a dead sleep. Eye's wide open, sweat running from his face. A fever. Then came the sudden urge to vomit. leaning over his cot, he started to gagging. Which turned to puking. Having nothing in his stomach an acid like substance came up. The man below his cot started yelling. OI! Bloody hell, what are you boy? The man looked up from under his cot. Just as the man looked at him, he puked up the acid again. Hitting the mans face. Wiping his face he grabbed the boy, pulling him from the bunk. This'll learn ya! He grabbed the boys throat, choking the life out of him. Face turning beat red, the boy looked into the mans eyes. They were cold, no, dead? The man's hands let up, making the boy fall back. His throat was throbbing, hardly breathing he picked himself up. Noticing what happened. The man had caught a sword to the stomach. Looking beyond the body he seen the first-mate. You alright boy? He nodded. Aye-Aye. Seems as if you have sea sickness. Here take this, when we get to port look for a doctor. What the man tossed was a coin pouch. Thirteen coins...
------ (Back to his reality) Setting the book down on his cot, he leaped down. The sun was just about to rise. Slowly walking to the ladder, he climbed up. The smell of fish and salt filled his nostrils. Looking up towards the Captain. He was always in his usual spot. The wheel. Moving up the stairs that lead to the quarter deck. Looking at him was the Captain. Ya'll right there boy? Aye, Sir. The boy grabbed the binnacle. (Case his compass is set in.) Looking at it, he noticed they were off course. Uh.. Cap, we're going the wrong wa- Just then he seen land. The mountains were covered in fog. He could see part of a jungle, then he seen the port's gates. looking up to the nest, he seen the man signing to the captain. Looking at the boy he smirked. Let they sea take you mate. That's her job.

Entry 5:
Well it's been five days and the crew that was sent to the island we discovered isn't back yet. Somethings up. We circled the island first, it's rather large. But it only took us six days to do it. We didn't any ports. So with the seven men we sent out, there must be a inland town. But five days? That's to long to be gone. Ah, I don't know. Maybe there dead. Nah, they can't be. Well, I'm guessing that the captain will send out men to find the men we already sent out. Won't make much sense, but hey, nothing seems to these days. We're starving aboard this shit now.
---------
OI! MAN THE CANNONS! WE HAVE ANOTHER SHIP INBOUND! Just then the man jumped up. The rest of the crew, that was of an importance was above deck. He looked at the others that lad tried to receive a little nap. Something seemed odd. Sitting up he looked at them, they were motionless. What? The boy said aloud. Walking to the man that slept opposite of him, he touched his neck to feel a pulse. Feeling a sticky liquid, blood. He almost screamed. Turning around he felt his bunk mate's throat, it to slit. Checking the rest off the bunk area's residents. All six of them, dead. That only left six to the ship. The one's on land are probably dead.
Then a sort of shock sunk in. Another ship is on their way... He scrambled up above deck. Looking towards the captain, he was pointing to the approaching ship. Looking in the ship's direction a sudden fog enlisted. A urge to pull his sword saved his life. Someone had swung a knife in his direction. Hey! He screamed out. Nothing answered. Hey! He tried again. Only this time a knife came after the wicked silence. Stepping back and deflecting the knife he looked towards where the captain was.
Realizing he need to get there he dashed towards the stairs. Tripping on the first step. Looking back, a sword came crashing down on him! He rolled and let the sword catch the step. Who is that? A man from the other ship? no, it was to far away for them to be already on the ship. Regaining his thought, he moved up the stairs. Finding the captain waiting for him. Oi, boy you alright? The captain spoke fast. Aye, sir I am. As the captain started his next sentence a hand crept over his shoulder. The boy's expression in his face gave it away to the captain. Looking at his shoulder he seen it, pale white shin, dark yellowish back finger nails, wrinkled skin like it was soaked in water, and a stench as if it was wrapped in death and seaweed....
