Entry 5: Well it's been five days and the crew that was sent to the island we discovered isn't back yet. Somethings up. We circled the island first, it's rather large. But it only took us six days to do it. We didn't any ports. So with the seven men we sent out, there must be a inland town. But five days? That's to long to be gone. Ah, I don't know. Maybe there dead. Nah, they can't be. Well, I'm guessing that the captain will send out men to find the men we already sent out. Won't make much sense, but hey, nothing seems to these days. We're starving aboard this shit now. --------- OI! MAN THE CANNONS! WE HAVE ANOTHER SHIP INBOUND! Just then the man jumped up. The rest of the crew, that was of an importance was above deck. He looked at the others that lad tried to receive a little nap. Something seemed odd. Sitting up he looked at them, they were motionless. What? The boy said aloud. Walking to the man that slept opposite of him, he touched his neck to feel a pulse. Feeling a sticky liquid, blood. He almost screamed. Turning around he felt his bunk mate's throat, it to slit. Checking the rest off the bunk area's residents. All six of them, dead. That only left six to the ship. The one's on land are probably dead. Then a sort of shock sunk in. Another ship is on their way... He scrambled up above deck. Looking towards the captain, he was pointing to the approaching ship. Looking in the ship's direction a sudden fog enlisted. A urge to pull his sword saved his life. Someone had swung a knife in his direction. Hey! He screamed out. Nothing answered. Hey! He tried again. Only this time a knife came after the wicked silence. Stepping back and deflecting the knife he looked towards where the captain was. Realizing he need to get there he dashed towards the stairs. Tripping on the first step. Looking back, a sword came crashing down on him! He rolled and let the sword catch the step. Who is that? A man from the other ship? no, it was to far away for them to be already on the ship. Regaining his thought, he moved up the stairs. Finding the captain waiting for him. Oi, boy you alright? The captain spoke fast. Aye, sir I am. As the captain started his next sentence a hand crept over his shoulder. The boy's expression in his face gave it away to the captain. Looking at his shoulder he seen it, pale white shin, dark yellowish black finger nails, wrinkled skin like it was soaked in water, and a stench as if it was wrapped in death and seaweed.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Continued - The captain pushed the hand from his shoulder with his left hand. Pulling his right elbow back trying to strike the creature behind him. As he failed he grabbed the hilt of sword with his left hand and spun. Slashing out. Nothing caught his blade. OI! Boy, watch yer back. We're dealing with a spook. As the captain turned again to face him, the boy was in he harm of being stabbed. At the last second the captain pushed him, catching the creatures sword. The boy moved. Oi... I'm not a boy anymore there cap. He thought to himself. Hearing the clashing of swords he came back to the fight. Unsheathing his sword he swung at the foe the captain was occupied with. Only this time it was strike. Hitting the creature's side, a gash opened up. Though what fell out could only be described as mush. A substance of black liquid, seaweed, and guts poured out. Then a puff of smoke. Wait, what? Smoke? Just then a blood curdling scream was heard. As if a siren of the sea herself came up. The man and the captain looked at each other. As they did, the both came upon an agreement. Get to shore, fast. Both leaping from the Captain's deck to the main deck, the rolled. More of the creatures came into sight, and what the could see nearly scared the both to death. With a tall figure the creatures' body stood. They had mangled faces, sunk in as if starved and dehydrated to death. Though their pale white skin with a greenish tint showed otherwise, also the fact that they were standing before them. The ones' that had hair looked to be the youngest of the group, but even then their hair was pure white. Wrinkled skin, destroyed clothes, bones showing in places, and what looked like guts, were hanging from their stomachs. What the hell are those Captain? The man spoke with shock. Those are the very souls that left this ship day's ago. The captain replied. Then it hit the man. Yes, these were his crew mates.

(For the sake of not making parenthesizes for every time I use PISTOL(s) - just remember, it's actually a BOW. Pistols = Bow. Thank you.)
As he readied his sword the captain sheathed his. What are you doing?! The Captain looked back at him with an evil grin, About to have a jolly good target practice. He took his pistol and aimed at his former crew. This one's for stealing the last piece o'bread you slime dog! He took the shot and watched as the pierced body fell. The other two took a few steps. The man realized what the captain was doing. He put the fact that they were mostly loyal aside and is using the flaws to kill them. He thought to himself. You want some more!? He took another shot, and another one fell.
He didn't know what else to do but ready the small boat they kept for emergencies. Grabbing a rope, he jumped aboard. Reaching a hand out for the captain. Come on! He stretched out again, waiting for the Captain to take his hand. The Captain turned as reached out, taking his hand. Lifting him up, another scream came from fog. They both looked around trying to spot what ever it was. Thought the fog had thicken more. Soon nothing was visible two feet in front of their eyes. Captain, what the hell was that?! Grabbing at the boat, they reached the captain. Pulling him onto the ship. As they did the rope, holding the row boat to the ship, tore. Casting it to the sea.. Continued - As the small boat hit the water it rocked back and forth. The water splashed him and filled the boat slightly. Looking up he spotted the Captain on the side of the ship. Go to land boy, now! He was pulled away from the ledge. The hands of the monsters grabbed at him. He didn't intend on dying here. Gripping his swords handle, he ripped it forward. Slashing the creatures' throats. Ha! Is that all ya got? Come on boys.. The fog started to clear on the ship, more creatures were emerging. He grinned wildly. That's more like it.The man in the row boat was furious. He didn't know what to do. Hearing the clashing of swords and yelling didn't help. There was no fog on the water. It was clear. Looking toward land he decided it was his best bet. Though knowing that his former crew mates died there didn't sooth his mind. What should he do? Try climbing the ship? No, the captain said to get to land. But what if he dies up there? That wouldn't happen.. He's to good of a fighter to die of a few little creatures. They weren't normal though. Then he noticed that everything went silent. Looking up the ship was nowhere to be found. What the hell.. His eyes went wide. The fog had completely cleared. Nothing but the ocean was in front of him. Looking over his shoulder he didn't spot anything. Where the fuck did the island go?! Nothing. He was in the middle of the ocean. His clothes were dry, the boat didn't show any signs of water on the inside other than the seeping from the bottom. What's going on?

His mouth was dry. He didn't want to drink the water around him, there was no way of purify it. The salt was just dehydrate him faster anyways. It had been two days since he seen the island or boat. Two days since good water and food. Which reminded him that he need to convulse. He leaned over the side of the boat and dry heaved. Nothing but air. What layer of hell is this? He dry heaved again.
His eyes went blurry and he leaned back. When he reopened them it was night time. The cool ocean air drifted over the boat, cooling his body. He noticed he was partially sun burnt. He touched the skin on his arms. Ow. Ow. Ow. He kept poking himself. The cool air did feel good. He was dying slowly in the water. Oh how tragic. A pirate dying at sea. How unoriginal. He sighed.
Nothing was ever simple was it. Mom died trying to keep me from becoming a pirate. Dad, well hell, I don't really have a dad. I guess this really is it. The pirate life. Born for the sea, taken by the sea. He leaned back and looked at the night's sky. Clouds and stars. True beauty in the world. Everything was peaceful, the boat rocking back and forth, the cool breeze, the shark fins swimming around his boat. Wait, shark fins? Oh for the love of anything out there. I'm going to be ate by a bunch of sharks. Not just any sharks, the White Tip shark.
He counted about ten fins total. His watery grave was going to be accompanied with sharks. How lovely. This is how I imagined everything. A nice romantic night, the stars, the water, the sharks that want to molest my body with their teeth. Well all's well that ends well I suppose. He looked over the edge again. Seeing the faint bodies of the sharks. Long gray and white, with slender tails. Sharp pointed fins and killer looking eyes. They were definitely hungry.
He gulped a lump in his throat down. Well heck, if this is how I die then lets do it! He stood up on the small boat and looked into the water. The bodies of the sharks now thrashing all over. Ah god.. Why? Huh? What the hell did I do to you? Hm? No answer? Not real are you?! Well FU- Just then a shark hit the side of the boat, making him fall in.
He swayed for a moment. Then went feet first. Instantly gulping for breath and plugging his nose. When the cool water touched his skin he let out a small yep. The rest of his body was engulfed by the water. It was pitch black. As soon as he seen a shark twist around, he knew he was dead. It darted straight for him, whizzing by. Then another did the same. A third one clipped him with it's fin. Then an unusual feeling came about. As if went sand was on his feet.
He had reached the bottom of the ocean. He ears popped and he opened his eyes. Looking down he seen the wet sand. He played with it, with his toes. What the hell? The ocean isn't very deep here. Then all of the sudden his mouth opened and he took a deep breath. Wait... I can't breath. His body was trying to breath. Looking up he could tell he wouldn't make it. Gulping in more water, he decided to swallow it. The taste of salt filled his mouth, which then gagged him.
So he was going to drown after all.

Continued -
His eyes began to fade. The blackness surrounded him. His lungs begged for air only to receive water. His mouth was filled with salt the sharks above him disappeared into blackness. No doubt to only find his body later. His body went limp in the water. Though he still felt his heart beating. Faintly he could feel wind blowing against his face. That's when he noticed he was out of the water.
He tried to breath. Feeling no air enter his lungs. They must still be full of water. Coughing it out was not an option. Trying to move, he failed. He could sense the air and his damp clothes but he could not move. What was this? Is it death? No, how could he still feel the wind and damp clothes? This was a question that wouldn't be answered right away. As his head laid in the sand he could make out it was still night.
His eyes were open and head to the side. Not being able to move his body he observed what he could see. Which was a long sandy beach, a forest full of ivy and fungus. Huge trees and small flowers. Vines that reached across the trees. Large leaf like plants that covered the base of trees and ground. He watched for a sign of any life. He could hear the waves crashing. The smooth sound of water coming and going across the beach. The tide was simmering down. It was be around dawn. The sky was a pale blue and yellowish orange. the moon was going down and the sun was just coming up over the water.
He still couldn't move. Death could be the only solution to this. How long was he going to stay like this? As he watched the sun rise, from what seemed like it's water depths, he coughed. The first bit of air plunged into his lungs. Creating air pockets. The water forced itself from his lungs. He coughed more and more. Water spewed from his mouth. Violently he choked. As he did he began to move his body. He first started off by prying himself off the ground. Spitting out the water that escaped his lungs.
Breathing hurt, but he kept taking in long strides of air. He collapsed and rolled over onto his back. He had pushed all of the water from his lungs. Finally he was recovering. The sun was rising faster then ever. As soon as he was better he would go and search the forest. He leaned upwards and looked around for his boat, or at least his sword. Nothing. Trapped on a strange island with nothing to protect himself with will prove challenging. But hey, at least he was out of the treacherous water.
