Talarra is a wonderful world but parts of it are still empty and untouched. Among the players we have many talented builders. Now it is time to put these two things together and create something great!
We are introducing what we have chosen to call public builds. A public build is anything that is not a private house. It could be anything from a building to a cool tree to new streetlights along a road. Anything that would benefit all players and make the world a prettier or cooler place to be in.
Anyone can make a public build and it will not cost you any crowns, you just have to provide the blocks needed.
In order to make a public build, you have to apply in the permit forum. In your application you will explain where the build will be located, preferrably with a screenshot. You will also give an outline of what it is your planning to make, both why you want to do the build and roughly what it will look like when finished.
An admin will look at your application and if we think it is something that will suit Talarra, a cuboid will be set up for you to start building.
Once the building is finished the cuboid is removed. You will not own the thing you built, it is now a part of Talarra and you have helped make the server a better place for all.
You must stick to what you wrote in the application. Any changes after you started construction will have to be added to the application for further approval.
You must finish the build. Any half finished building that has been untouched for a long time will be removed.
You must accept that once the build is finished, it does no longer belong to you but is public property in the same way as the cities and roads.
Not everyone is a master architecht. But everyone deserves a chance.
We have worked hard to make Talarra a beautiful world, and we will continue to strive towards that goal. For that reason we are implementing a report system. If you see anything in the world that you feel is badly built or doesn't fit in, be it admin or player built, you can report this in private to a moderator or admin. Tell them the location of the offending build and explain why you think it needs to be changed.
When a build has recieved three reports it will be either modified or removed. The reports remain anonymous to avoid hurt feelings.
While this might seem harsh, it will encourage us all to constantly strive to make Talarra the coolest and most impressive server ever.
